Only go if you're REALLY hungry. You may he waiting to get inside but it's very much worth it.

Delicious Tonkatsu for a relatively affordable price. This was one of the tastiest pork cutlets I have experienced in Japan. Make sure you arrive early or plan on waiting because there are only 8 seats inside. The staff were extremely friendly and prepared our cabbage and rice portions to order. You also get delicious tea and Miso soup making it a very full filing meal. I highly recommend coming to this restaurant to satisfy your pork cravings.

We had an amazing Tonkatsu and Katsu Curry in a really friendly, family run, restaurant. There's only 8 seats, so you may need to wait to be seated, but the turn around is fairly quick, and it's worth the wait. There was a lot of food, and you can ask for more rice and cabbage if you want and at a decent price. The owners daughter speaks perfect English and was really kind. We will definitely be returning !

Essentially Japanese comfort food, the pork and curry are outstanding. Expect to wait in line for a while, the thick cuts cook slow and there is only counter seating for about 8 people. The menu is only in Japanese so known what you want in advance or have a translator handy.

My first proper meal in Sagamihara. This inch thick katsu was worth the 30 minutes wait at Katsu Akagi. This family owned restaurant offers unlimited rice and miso for every order. The serving was massive and crispy to perfection. This set costs ¥1580, which wasn’t bad for what you are getting. The staff were so nice and accommodating. Definitely going back to try out their other dishes!

A small mom and pop restaurant that specializes in Pork Katsu Curry. The food has a ton of love poured into it, and the pricing is very fair. The restaurant itself is very small and is always packed. The owners are extremely kind which creates a nice atmosphere. The portions are very large even for American standards. Katsu Curry 小盛り(small) or 中盛り(medium) should be plenty for most. Don't order the 大盛り(large) until you know what you're getting into. Leaving food uneaten is very rude and wasteful. You'll be waiting outside for a while. Not recommended for groups of more than 2 people.
